There’s a sequel coming to the hit zombie movie “28 Days Later” after almost 20 years! The original director, Danny Boyle, is teaming up again with screenwriter Alex Garland for “28 Years Later.”
This new movie boasts a star-studded cast including Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, and Ralph Fiennes. It’s a big change from the first film featuring Cillian Murphy. The original movie terrified audiences with its story of a rage-inducing virus. “28 Years Later” is planned as the second part of a new zombie trilogy by Sony Pictures.
This isn’t Boyle and Garland’s first zombie rodeo. They previously worked together on “28 Weeks Later,” the sequel to “28 Days Later,” which came out in 2007. They’ll be joined by a team of producers for “28 Years Later,” including Bernie Bellew, Andre Macdonald, and Peter Rice. Interestingly, Ralph Fiennes will also be an executive producer in addition to acting in the film.
