Emma Stone spilled the tea in a recent interview! Turns out, she’d prefer to be called Emily, even at work.
This might be a surprise since everyone knows her as Emma Stone.
The whole Emma Stone thing came about because another actress already had that name with the actors’ union. So, Emma (as we know her) went with Emma Stone instead. It seems like it grew on her for a while, but lately, she’s feeling the pull of her real name, Emily, again.
The funny thing is, Emma wanted to be called Emma as a kid because of Baby Spice (aka Emma Bunton) from the Spice Girls. Talk about childhood dreams coming true… kind of! It wasn’t exactly Baby Spice Emma that stuck, but the name Emma did in the end. Even if it wasn’t the Emma she had in mind way back when.
