After serving for 12 years and convicting two Prime Ministers, Judge Muhammad Bashir has retired.

During his time as a judge, Muhammad Bashir gained attention for convicting two former prime ministers, Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan, showing his commitment to fairness and justice.

He earned praise for his impartiality and determination to tackle corruption in high places, giving judgments in cases like Avenfield and Al-Azizia against Nawaz Sharif, and the Toshakhana case involving Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi.

Judge Bashir also gave sentences to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and her husband, Capt (retd) Safdar, in different cases.

Additionally, he handled cases involving other important figures like President Asif Ali Zardari, and former prime ministers Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, and Yousuf Raza Gilani.

Recently, Judge Bashir took medical leave after deciding the Toshakhana case involving Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, leading to his retirement.

As Judge Muhammad Bashir steps down, his efforts to uphold justice and fight corruption leave a lasting impact on the judiciary.
