Sudha Reddy made a stunning appearance at the Met Gala, wearing extravagant jewelry worth nearly 20 million dollars.
She adorned herself with a 180-carat diamond necklace and two solitaire diamond rings, together valued at over 166 crore rupees.
Who is Sudha Reddy? She is a director at the MEIL Group, a Hyderabad-based business conglomerate co-founded by her parents in 1989. Sudha’s role involves managing corporate social responsibility, community partnerships, wellness programs, and ventures in the hospitality sector. She also chairs the Sudha Reddy Foundation.
Despite receiving less media attention, Sudha is no stranger to high-profile events. She has attended prestigious fashion weeks like Paris Haute Couture Week and Paris Fashion Week, in addition to making appearances at the Met Gala in 2021 and the Cannes Film Festival premiere of “Killers of the Flower Moon.”
For this year’s Met Gala theme “Garden of Time,” Sudha wore a custom-made white corsetted bodice by Tarun Tahiliani. The outfit was meticulously crafted with intricate embroidery, Swarovski crystals, and silk threadwork, featuring a self-portrait holding the Met gala rose. The ensemble required 4,500 hours of labor from 80 artisans. Sudha completed her look with a vintage Chanel purse worth over 40,000 dollars.
