An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad warned Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and others they could be declared “culprits” for not appearing in court.
Judge Tahir Abbas Supra issued the warning during a hearing involving PTI founder Imran Khan and others accused of vandalism and violating Section 144.
PTI leaders Faisal Javed Khan, Ali Nawaz Awan, Wasiq Qayyum, and Aamer Kiani attended the hearing, but Gandapur and Amir Mughal filed for exemption, which the judge rejected.
The judge announced non-bailable warrants for those absent and stated that anyone who doesn’t appear on July 8 will be declared a “culprit.”
The court also requested a written reply regarding Imran Khan’s video link appearance from the Superintendent of Adiala Jail. The hearing was adjourned to July 8, and future sessions will be held daily.
