LAHORE – In a significant turn of events, renowned anchorperson Ayesha Jahanzeb and her husband, Haris Ali, have resolved their domestic violence dispute.
Ayesha, who had previously filed a case against Haris, appeared in the Lahore sessions court accompanied by her lawyer, Asim Mumtaz. Her appearance led to a resolution between the couple.
During the court session, Ayesha was visibly distressed when asked if she was participating of her own free will. She responded, “What happened was deeply unjust and should never happen to anyone, but I accept the outcome as decided by the respected individuals.”
Ayesha expressed her desire to withdraw the case, noting that the decision was made in front of witnesses.
Following her statement, the court agreed to grant bail but clarified that any decision on acquittal would depend on the final charge sheet.
Previously, Haris Ali had been sent to jail on judicial remand by the Cantt court. The case, filed on July 10 at Sarwar Road police station, had detailed multiple instances of violence, including threats and harm inflicted on both Ayesha and their children.
