Banks in Pakistan will have new hours during Ramadan this year (2024).

Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims, and during this time, many things have adjusted hours, including banks in Pakistan.

The State Bank of Pakistan, which is kind of like the boss of all the other banks, announced the new hours for this year.

Banks will be open for a bit longer than usual, from 9 am until 3:30 pm. But there’s a short break in the middle of the day for prayers, from 2 pm to 2:30 pm. This applies from Monday to Thursday.

If you need to go into the bank to talk to someone in person, like a teller or someone who helps with accounts, you’ll want to get there between 9 am and 2 pm, again, from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, the bank is open for these in-person transactions from 8:30 am to 1 pm.

Banks will still be open on Fridays but with shorter hours. They’ll be open from 8:30 am to 1 pm, with no break in the middle.

These new hours apply to all the banks in Pakistan, so no matter which bank you use, these are the times you’ll need to follow during Ramadan.
