A lucky woman named Payal, who lives in Dubai but originally comes from Punjab, India, just won a giant prize!
She scored a whopping ₹8 crore (around $1 million) in the Dubai Duty-Free Millennium Millionaire draw. Payal has been playing the lottery for a while, even buying tickets for her family sometimes.
Now, she’s planning to use the money to help her kids, support her brother in Australia, and give back to her hometown in India through charity.
This win makes Payal the 229th Indian to become a millionaire through this lottery since it started in 1999.
Another winner in a separate draw was Nasrin, a 48-year-old British woman living in London. She also won $1 million by surprising herself with a lottery ticket on her trip to Bahrain!
