Pakistan’s Chief Justice, Qazi Faez Isa, has placed a valuable gift given to him by a foreign official in Toshakhana, which is a state storage facility.
The gift was a special pen presented by Muslim World League Secretary Sheikh Mohammad bin Karim Isa during a meeting last month.
CJP Isa’s office sent a letter to the Cabinet Division secretary, asking to display the pen in the Supreme Court Museum. After Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s approval, the Cabinet Division agreed to this request.
The Muslim World League secretary had met with CJP Isa on April 8, 2024, to give him the pen. Toshakhana has been a topic of discussion in Pakistan due to a case against PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, who were accused of selling gifts from Toshakhana.
