China criticizes US trade controls and praises ties with Russia.

China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, criticized the US trade policy, calling it “bewildering” and accused Washington of trying to suppress China through various tactics and unilateral sanctions.

He questioned the US’s confidence as a major country and emphasized the need for international fairness and competition.

Despite these remarks on the US, Wang praised China’s growing relationship and trade with Russia. The comments come amid ongoing efforts by the US to restrict certain high-end technologies from reaching China.

Wang also addressed tensions in the South China Sea and reiterated China’s stance on Taiwan, emphasizing support for “peaceful reunification.” The statements were made during China’s annual Foreign Minister’s briefing.
