CM Gandapur Holds Jirga for Peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has emphasized that protecting the lives and property of citizens remains the top priority of his government.

A grand Jirga, hosted by the KP Chief Minister in Peshawar, brought together key figures, including Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, and leaders from various political parties.

“We are here for peace, putting political differences aside,” Gandapur said, expressing hope that the Jirga would help find peaceful solutions to the province’s challenges. He stressed that dialogue, not confrontation, is the key to resolving issues.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi reiterated the importance of peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stating it is the primary focus of the Jirga. He thanked the provincial government for organizing the meeting and stressed that peace and prosperity for the people must take precedence over political differences.

“Dialogue is the solution to all problems. We must engage with those who respect the law and constitution,” the governor said. He acknowledged the deteriorating law-and-order situation and urged unity to bring peace back to the province.
