Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar will attend the OIC summit on behalf of Pakistan.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar will represent Pakistan at the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) Summit scheduled to take place in Gambia on May 2.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) spokesperson mentioned that this summit is especially crucial as the conflict in Palestine persists. The OIC aims to present a united and strong stance on the Palestinian issue during this gathering.

During the summit, Dar plans to address the ongoing crisis in Gaza and highlight the importance of self-determination for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He will also speak about Islamophobia and stress the significance of unity among Islamic nations.

Moreover, Dar intends to discuss global challenges such as climate change and terrorism. He will advocate for social solutions to these issues, emphasizing the need for unity within the Islamic world.

Additionally, Dar will engage in bilateral meetings with other leaders and foreign ministers attending the summit to further Pakistan’s interests and strengthen diplomatic ties.

In related news, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently appointed Ishaq Dar as the Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan, a role confirmed through a notification issued by the Cabinet Division.
