Doing face exercises might help your face look younger.

Social media talks about face yoga, which involves special exercises for your facial muscles.

People say it can make you look younger by making your skin glow, reducing wrinkles, and puffing up your cheeks. There isn’t a lot of proof yet, though.

What might work is reducing puffiness under your eyes and sagging around your chin.

Your face has three layers: skin on top, then two fat layers (one closer to the skin, one deeper), and finally the muscles (which are pretty small).

As you get older, gravity pulls your skin down, making your face look saggy. The fat layer that makes young faces look full also shrinks, making your face look hollow. Your bones and skin also get thinner.

Face yoga involves making specific faces or using your hands to massage your face, targeting certain muscles. It can’t bring back lost fat (like injections or surgery can), but it might help build some muscle and make your skin look smoother.
