Gandapur is optimistic about fixing KP’s problems after having ‘positive’ discussions with the Prime Minister.

KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur had positive discussions with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif about various issues affecting the province.

They talked about law and order, public concerns, and the upcoming Senate election. Gandapur emphasized the importance of meeting with the imprisoned PTI founder, Imran Khan, to discuss election matters. The Prime Minister assured him of facilitating this meeting.

During a media briefing with Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Gandapur highlighted the need for cooperation between the federal and provincial governments to address public issues and economic challenges. He expressed satisfaction with the meeting and said that the Prime Minister had promised full cooperation.

Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal also spoke positively about the meeting, saying that the Prime Minister had pledged to fulfill the province’s financial dues and had instructed officials to work with KP authorities to resolve issues.

The meeting also addressed the payment of Rs1.51 trillion in arrears owed by the Centre to KP. This includes profits from hydropower and electricity supplied to the National Grid.
