Good news for people in Karachi! They won’t have to pay a fine if their car gets towed between Iftar and Sehri.

Karachi Traffic Police are offering a temporary break for drivers during Ramadan!

To ease the expected rush of shoppers before Eid-ul-Fitr, they’re waiving towing fees for cars parked illegally outside malls between Iftar and Sehri.

Free Parking Window: No towing worries for cars parked near malls during Ramadan night hours (between Iftar and Sehri).

Extra Traffic Cops on Duty: More officers are on patrol to manage traffic flow during this busy period.

Focus on Critical Violations: Traffic police will prioritize issuing fines for serious offenses that slow down traffic, like driving one way or in the wrong direction. Minor parking mistakes will likely get a warning instead of a ticket.

Eid Shopping Spree: This relaxed enforcement and extra support for traffic flow aim to make shopping for Eid-ul-Fitr easier. Public holidays for Eid are scheduled from April 10th to 13th. The expectation is that the first day of Eid will fall on April 10th.
