Grant Bradburn, the respected former New Zealand cricketer, has announced his retirement from his position as the high-performance coach of the Pakistan cricket team. Bradburn, who initially joined as the head coach in May of the previous year, expressed his gratitude for the time spent with the team and fellow coaches.
In November 2023, there was a change in Bradburn’s role and the entire coaching staff’s responsibilities were adjusted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). According to the PCB, the coaching team will maintain their roles at the National Cricket Academy, and the new coaching lineup for the upcoming series in Australia and New Zealand will be announced soon.
Bradburn, 57 years old, led the Pakistan team during the 2023 World Cup. He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share the news of his retirement from coaching. In his statement, Bradburn mentioned that it’s time to close this incredible chapter in Pakistan cricket. Over the past five years and in three different roles, he takes pride in the achievements and feels grateful for the opportunity to work with exceptional players, coaches, and staff.
