Multiple gunshots were reported near former U.S. President Donald Trump’s golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday, while Trump was present, according to international media reports.
Steven Cheung, Trump’s campaign communications director, confirmed that Trump was golfing at the time of the incident. In a brief statement, Cheung assured the public that Trump “is safe following gunshots in his vicinity.”
No additional details about the incident have been released.
Earlier this year, on July 14, video footage surfaced online showing gunfire during a campaign rally for Trump in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. The shooter, positioned on a rooftop, injured two spectators, and one person was killed. In the footage, Trump is seen reacting to the gunshots, while Secret Service agents immediately moved in to protect him and escorted him off the stage.
