How Women Learned to Believe Men

When she was young, men often let her down.

But one summer day at the Vatican changed her perspective. A friendly Italian named Fabrizio offered to show her friend and herself around.

Despite her past experiences, she trusted him. They had a great time exploring Rome together, and nothing bad happened.

Fabrizio and she stayed in touch for a while, but eventually, they lost contact. Years later, they reconnected on Facebook. Even though they didn’t keep their promises to exchange books, it didn’t matter. Fabrizio taught her an important lesson about trust that I carry with me to this day.

Sometimes, love and lessons come from unexpected places, like a chance encounter with a stranger in Rome. Fabrizio showed her that it’s okay to trust people, even when past experiences make it hard.
