Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, have been charged in a case involving £190 million.

On Tuesday, a court charged Imran Khan, the PTI founder chairman and former prime minister, along with his wife Bushra Bibi, in a £190 million corruption case.

The judge, Nasir Javed Rana, read the charges, and both Khan and Bushra, present in the courtroom, denied them. The hearing took place at Adiala Jail.

In addition to Imran Khan, other accused in the case include Bushra, Shahzad Akbar, Zulfiqar Bukhari, Zia Mustafa, and Farah Shehzadi, also known as Farah Gogi. The court summoned five witnesses out of a total of 58.

Imran’s lawyer argued that the accused should have received a copy of the reference at least a week before the indictment.

The lawyer also pointed out that around 50 important documents were not readable and requested another copy. The court adjourned the hearing until March 6, when the statements of the five witnesses will be recorded.
