Imran Khan has agreed to have discussions with PPP about forming the government.

In a big political event, Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has agreed to talk with the rival Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) about possibly forming a coalition government in the country.

The PTI, which won the most seats in the National Assembly elections on February 8, is working hard to establish a government.

According to sources within the party, Imran Khan, who is currently in jail, is open to discussions with the PPP. A committee is expected to be formed to facilitate talks between PTI and PPP regarding the formation of the government.

This development comes after the PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari expressed a willingness to engage in talks with PTI for the sake of reconciliation in the country. Zardari emphasized the importance of including all political powers in the reconciliation process.

The PTI also plans to approach other rival parties, including Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl, Awami National Party, Jamaat-e-Islami, and other nationalist parties that have raised concerns about alleged election rigging.

Omar Ayub Khan, the Secretary General of PTI, has been nominated as the party’s candidate for the position of the country’s prime minister.

The plans were announced by PTI leader Asad Qaiser after a meeting with Imran Khan in Adiala jail. Khan has reportedly instructed Qaiser to form a committee to negotiate with various political parties.

Contrary to some reports, the PTI denied reaching out to the PPP for government formation. PTI leader Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif clarified that Imran Khan strictly advised against talks with PPP and PML-N, urging the party to sit in opposition rather than forming an alliance with these parties.
