Imran Khan Orders Peaceful Rallies Nationwide, Urges No Confrontation

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has instructed his party leadership to organize peaceful rallies across the country with permission from local authorities, emphasizing the need to avoid confrontation. This directive came during a meeting with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur at Adiala Jail, sources told Geo News on Wednesday.

Khan, who is currently incarcerated, met with Gandapur to discuss the party’s plans and the national political situation. He expressed his readiness to hold talks with anyone within the bounds of the law and Constitution and demanded the return of what he called their “stolen” mandate.

Gandapur had previously announced that PTI would hold its next public gathering in Islamabad soon, declaring, “No one can stop us [from staging a rally].”

Khan advised the party to ensure that all rallies are legally approved and to avoid any illegal activities. He also mentioned that he was using his time in jail to study various topics.

During the meeting, Gandapur proposed forming a committee to address complaints about governance and corruption. He suggested that the committee conduct free and transparent investigations. Khan agreed and recommended including Special Assistant to the KP Chief Minister on Anti-Corruption, Muhammad Musaddiq Abbasi, in the committee.
