Iran’s security forces hit hideouts of BLA and BLF terrorists. Says ISPR

The military’s media wing detailed that they conducted “precision strikes” using armed drones, rockets, loitering munitions, and stand-off weapons.

“Maximum care was taken to avoid collateral damage.”

Pakistan recently recalled its ambassador from Iran and expelled Tehran’s envoy as a swift response to Iranian missile strikes. The escalation resulted from Iran’s missile and drone attacks inside Pakistan on Tuesday, targeting alleged bases of the terrorist group Jaish-al Adl.

Pakistan’s military referred to the retaliatory strikes as ‘Operation Marg Bar Sarmachar’.

The targeted hideouts housed notorious terrorists, including Dosta, Bajjar, Sahil, Asghar, and Wazir, among others, according to the ISPR.

The military assured that they are ready to ensure the safety of Pakistani citizens against terrorism and reiterated their commitment to defending the country’s sovereignty.

In a signal of de-escalation, the military emphasized the importance of dialogue and cooperation in resolving bilateral issues between Islamabad and Tehran.

Following Iran’s attack on Pakistani territory, Islamabad condemned the “unprovoked violation of its airspace” and warned of serious consequences. Iran, on the other hand, claimed they targeted an “Iranian terrorist group” and not Pakistani nationals.

Iran’s foreign minister, Amir-Abdollahian, stated that the attack on Pakistan’s soil was in response to recent deadly attacks by Jaish al-Adl on Iran, particularly in the province of Sistan-Baluchistan. He affirmed Iran’s respect for Pakistan’s sovereignty but emphasized their commitment to protecting national security.
