Prime Minister Shehbaz emphasized the importance of listening to the business community’s ideas and turning them into action for economic growth. He urged ending reliance on rental businesses and focusing on genuine industrial and agricultural growth to double exports in the next five years.
Industrialist Zubair Motiwala highlighted challenges such as high energy prices and surplus electricity capacity, stressing the need for fair gas prices and reducing electricity tariffs for industrial consumers to boost production and reduce the circular debt in the power sector.
The meeting aimed to address the concerns of the business community and explore strategies for economic growth, with the Prime Minister pledging to continue engaging with businessmen to resolve issues and improve the business environment in Pakistan.
