PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Health Department reported 81 new dengue cases within the last 24 hours, according to ARY News.
The total number of dengue cases for 2024 has now reached 478. Peshawar leads with 153 cases, followed by Abbottabad with 81, Nowshera with 46, and Hangu with 40.
As of September 23, the KP Health Department confirmed 137 active dengue cases across the province. Of the 356 cases reported this year, 219 people have recovered and returned home, while 91 patients are still hospitalized.
Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral disease, primarily spread by the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
