Former Governor of Sindh, Imran Ismail, expressed regrets about leaving the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Imran Ismail mentioned that leaving PTI was a mistake and a sign of weakness, stating that he should not have left the party. During the conversation, the former Governor of Sindh clarified that his decision to leave the party was not made wholeheartedly; he left under pressure from within PTI. He further stated that he has not left politics but is leading a retired, less politically involved life.
Imran Ismail emphasized that he did not resign, nor did he formally join the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). He explained that after May 9th, many people left PTI, and when the PPP extended an invitation, he went to help friends. Former Governor Sindh mentioned that some left PTI due to pressure, others left willingly, and a few preferred to detach from politics after leaving the party.
According to Imran Ismail, leaving PTI was not a decision of the heart but a mental one. He reiterated his association with the founding members of PTI but clarified that, at the moment, he is not actively involved in any political party.
Imran Ismail mentioned that those who did not leave PTI made their own decision, and whether they became members of PPP, PTI parliamentarians, or joined any other party, it is their right.
He stated that those responsible for any wrongdoing on May 9th should face consequences, but innocent people might also get caught up in the matter.
