Marvel picked Michael Lesslie to write the new X-Men movie!

Marvel is making a new X-Men movie!

Writer Michael Lesslie, known for works like “The Hunger Games” prequel, is in talks to join the project. No release date or director is confirmed yet, but the X-Men remain popular as shown by the success of the recent animated series “X-Men ’97.”

The X-Men first appeared in comics in 1963 and got their first movie in 2000. The franchise was then rebooted in 2011 with “X-Men: First Class.” After Disney acquired Fox Studios, the X-Men and Fantastic Four became part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A new Fantastic Four movie is coming out in July 2025. There’s also good news for Wolverine fans! Hugh Jackman, the actor who played Wolverine in the earlier X-Men movies, will be back in the upcoming “Deadpool & Wolverine” movie hitting theaters in July 2025.
