Zulfiqar was reportedly abducted by armed men in Karachi, but has now returned home following judicial intervention. His disappearance prompted his family to seek help from the Sindh High Court (SHC) to secure his release.

The abduction occurred on Karachi’s Mauripur Road, triggering widespread outrage and concern online. Initially, authorities were hesitant to act, but the Sindh High Court intervened, ordering the police to file a kidnapping case.

Karachi Police Chief Javed Alam Odho responded by forming two investigative teams to tackle the case. The Sindh High Court also issued notices to the Ministry of Interior, the provincial Home Department, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), and other relevant authorities in response to a petition filed by Zulfiqar’s wife.

Zulfiqar Ahmed’s safe return brings relief to his family and colleagues, while the incident underscores the ongoing challenges of security and justice in the region. The quick judicial response and subsequent actions by the police played crucial roles in resolving the situation.
