Muslim country Tajikistan bans hijab, changes Eid celebrations.

Tajikistan, a mostly Muslim country, just passed a law banning the hijab and other religious clothing.

People who break the law could be fined a lot of money.

The law also stops kids from giving gifts or celebrating some Muslim holidays. The government says this keeps kids safe.

The country’s leaders are worried that some Muslim clothing is from other countries and not part of Tajik culture. They’d rather people wear traditional Tajik clothes.

This is a big change because Tajikistan hasn’t allowed hijabs in schools since 2007. People who fight for religious freedom say this law is wrong. Many people in Tajikistan might be against it too.
