Pakistan’s wheelchair cricket team has won their second straight championship title.
They triumphed in the Asian Championship and were invited to Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to celebrate their achievement.
At the meeting, Naqvi congratulated the team and praised their impressive performance. He admired their dedication and hard work, which brought pride to Pakistan internationally. To honor their victory and support their future efforts, including in the Pakistan Champions League, Naqvi gave the team a cheque for Rs1.5 million.
Naqvi also encouraged the team and wished them continued success.
He promised that the PCB would keep supporting the wheelchair cricket team with the resources and opportunities they need to excel in future tournaments. “We are very proud of our wheelchair cricket team’s achievements,” said Naqvi. “Their hard work is truly inspiring, and the PCB will continue to support them. I am sure they will keep making Pakistan proud by winning more championships.”
A delegation from the Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Council, including Chairperson Rukhsana Rajput and team captain Muhammad Zeeshan, along with players Imran Arain, Syed Arsalan Ahmed, Moazzam Nawaz, and Muhammad Fayaz, met with the PCB chairman.
