Pakistan won their second match in the World Championship of Legends 2024.

Pakistan secured their second victory in the ongoing World Championship of Legends by defeating West Indies by 29 runs at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham.

Choosing to bat first, Pakistan set a target of 195 runs. Kamran Akmal struggled, scoring only 5 runs off 7 balls. Sharjeel Khan played a quick innings of 35 runs from 15 balls, providing a strong start. Sohaib Maqsood added 22 runs from 12 balls, but Shoaib Malik was the top scorer with 54 runs off 41 balls, including five fours and a six.

Pakistan ended their innings at 194/8. Ashley Nurse took 3 wickets for 20 runs, and Fidel Edwards took 2 wickets for 46 runs for West Indies.

In response, West Indies managed 165/9 in their allotted overs. Opener Dwayne Smith scored 65 runs from 46 balls, and Jonathan Carter contributed 34 runs from 25 balls. However, Pakistan’s bowlers took wickets consistently. Sohail Tanvir claimed 4 wickets for 14 runs, Shahid Afridi took 3 wickets for 41 runs, and Wahab Riaz contributed 2 wickets for 18 runs.

Pakistan’s bowling performance ensured their victory, restricting West Indies and securing another win in the tournament.
