Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, is in China’s capital for talks.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar has arrived in Beijing for a four-day visit to co-chair the Fifth Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue.

Upon his arrival, Dar, who is 74 years old, was welcomed by Director General Ambassador Wang Fu Kang and Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi.

During his visit, Dar will participate in strategic discussions to assess and strengthen the relationship between Pakistan and China. The focus will be on improving economic and trade cooperation, promoting high-level exchanges, discussing the upgradation of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), exploring future connectivity projects, and addressing geopolitical issues. Dar also plans to meet with Chinese leaders, senior ministers, and business leaders to discuss various matters of mutual interest.

This visit underscores the strong commitment of both countries to deepen their enduring “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership,” enhance economic collaboration, particularly within the framework of CPEC, and reaffirm their joint dedication to regional peace and development.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry has expressed eagerness to collaborate with Pakistan to further implement important agreements reached by the leaders of both countries. This visit reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen the comprehensive partnership between Pakistan and China for mutual benefit and regional stability.
