Parvez Elahi, Central President of PTI, stated that the people of Pakistan had demonstrated their love for Imran Khan through their votes.
In an informal conversation with journalists, after appearing in court alongside former Secretary of the Punjab Assembly, Muhammad Khan Bhatti, he stated that the opposition party stole PTI’s mandate overnight.
He said that Salik and Shafay should return the mandate of the people of Gujrat before any discussion can take place. He added that the real culprit behind the mandate theft is Mohsin Naqvi and his party.
Chaudhry Parvez Elahi stated that Imran Khan was the Prime Minister of the people in the past, and he still holds the same position today. He also added that Imran Khan is likely to remain as the Prime Minister in the future since he lives in the hearts of the public. The people would not accept a government that does not have their mandate. Furthermore, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi vowed that they would fight every battle to protect the public mandate.
Chaudhry Parvez Elahi stated that the people of Pakistan have not let them down and should not be disheartened either. He also mentioned that those who steal votes will ultimately face humiliation.
Chaudhry Pervez Elahi stated that those who have been rejected by the public cannot claim to work in the interest of the people. He further commented that the ones who steal the mandate do not seek power for the betterment of the nation but for their selfish interests. Elahi added that the political parties, who were once at odds with each other during the election campaign, have now joined hands to ruin the country.
