President confirms Senate approval of three judges

President Dr. Arif Alvi has given the green light to some important judicial appointments.

Firstly, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, who was previously the Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court, has now been appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court. This decision was made by Article 175 A of the Constitution.

The president has chosen Justice Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar, the most senior judge, to serve as the acting chief justice of the Balochistan High Court. This appointment aligns with Article 196 of the Constitution.

President Alvi has appointed Justice Malik Shehzad Ahmed Khan as the new Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court. This significant decision was made under Article 175(A) of the Constitution.

These appointments are crucial for the smooth functioning of the judiciary, ensuring that capable individuals take on important roles in the legal system.
