Prince Harry and Prince William don’t have the right to Princess Diana’s childhood home.

Despite being in line to the throne, Prince William and Prince Harry will not inherit their mother Princess Diana’s childhood home.

Princess Diana was born at the Althorp Estate, which has been in the Spencer family since 1508. Instead of going to William or Harry, this historic property will go to their cousin Louis, who is the son of Earl Charles Spencer.

In aristocratic families, the rule is that the estate goes to the eldest son, not the first-born child. This means Louis, who has three older sisters, will inherit the 13,500-acre property.

Prince Harry and Prince William will not get Princess Diana’s childhood home.

The estate was not only Diana’s childhood home but also her final resting place after she tragically died in a car crash in Paris in 1997. The property is open to visitors during the summer.

Louis, whose full name is Louis Frederick John Spencer, is the son of Charles and his first wife, Victoria Lockwood. At 30 years old, Louis is an actor who prefers to keep a low profile. In 2019, Tatler named him the “top eligible bachelor” after he appeared at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018.
