Prince Harry revealed his first meeting with Prince William after making significant revelations about their family.
In his memoir, “Spare,” Harry recounts how he tried to reconcile with William but was met with an unexpected response. William simply said, “You left, Harold,” to which a shocked Harry replied, “Yeah – and you know why.” William responded, “I don’t.” Harry expressed his disbelief that his brother claimed ignorance of the reasons behind his departure, despite the sacrifices he had made for their country.
Harry described his feelings of exhaustion and disillusionment, realizing that “home” had become a complicated concept. He recalled telling William that they were supposed to live in their homeland for the rest of their lives. The strained relationship between the brothers has not healed since Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey. Harry also noted that his father, King Charles, showed a similar lack of understanding, making Harry question if his family ever truly knew him.
