After meeting with the JUI-F chief, Asad Qaiser told the media he shared five names for the committee with Maulana Fazl.
These names will be finalized at the JUI-F meeting on June 29. Once formed, the committee will work to resolve issues.
Qaiser said both parties want the rule of law and will ensure the Constitution’s supremacy. He called the discussion with Maulana Fazl fruitful and the agreement on forming committees a significant breakthrough. They plan to form a joint opposition in parliament.
Qaiser emphasized the need to brief parliament about the Azm-i-Istehkam Operation and said the defense minister should provide details. He mentioned that the PTI and Maulana Fazl have reservations about supporting new military operations. They discussed the worsening law and order situation, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and stressed the role of political figures in maintaining peace.
Both leaders agreed on the importance of good relations with Afghanistan and proposed creating an economic corridor at border crossings to provide employment opportunities for people in both countries.
