PTI leaders Latif Khosa and Salman Akram Rajah have been released from custody.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Latif Khosa and Salman Akram Raja have been released, as confirmed by family sources.

The PTI leaders were reportedly arrested by the police during a protest and were released late at night. The arrests took place amid a rally in Lahore protesting against alleged election rigging.

During the rally, not only Latif Khosa and Salman Akram Raja but also members of the Punjab Assembly Hafiz Farhat Abbas and MPA Mian Haroon Akbar were detained by the police. Additionally, the son of Mian Mehmoodul Rasheed was reportedly detained at a rally in Shadman.

The PTI had organized protest demonstrations nationwide, expressing concerns about perceived rigging in the general elections. The police action during the protests faced criticism from the PTI and the Supreme Court Bar, both strongly condemning the arrests and demanding the release of the senior lawyers. They emphasized that the protests were peaceful, highlighting the democratic right to express grievances.
