The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) plans to join the upcoming all-parties conference (APC), announced PTI founder Imran Khan on Friday.
He mentioned that PTI has concerns about the new anti-terrorism actions, fearing they could cause more instability. The government has launched a renewed counter-terrorism effort focused on intelligence-based operations.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif intends to hold the APC to build confidence among political parties regarding this new initiative, known as Operation Azm-e-Istehkam.
Opposition parties, including PTI, JUI-F, and ANP, have raised objections, urging parliamentary approval before such actions.
The government clarified that it is not planning a large-scale military operation but aiming for long-term stability through this initiative.
