Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam, wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan, and pacer Shaheen Afridi face a setback as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has delayed issuing no-objection certificates (NOCs) for their participation in the Global T20 Canada League.
The PCB is waiting for clarification from the International Cricket Council (ICC) about the tournament’s affiliation before making a decision.
While 12 other Pakistani cricketers have received NOCs for various global leagues, Babar, Rizwan, and Shaheen’s participation remains uncertain. Seven Pakistani players, including Babar, Rizwan, Shaheen, Asif Ali, Mohammad Amir, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Mohammad Nawaz, were picked by different franchises in the Global T20 Canada League.
Babar, Asif, Amir, and Rizwan were selected by the Vancouver Knights, Shaheen, and Nawaz by the Toronto Nationals, and Iftikhar by Bangla Tigers Mississauga.
Here are some Pakistani players who got NOCs:
