Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan recently talked about marrying Salma Khan in an interview with his son Arbaaz Khan.
He said before they officially started dating, he wanted to meet Salma’s parents because hiding their meetings felt wrong. When he visited her house, he joked about seeing so many people there, which made him nervous.
Initially, Salma’s father was worried about their different religions. But Salim assured him that religion wouldn’t be a problem. They eventually got married, but Salma’s father didn’t visit them for ten years. Salim also talked about marrying Helen and how Salma was the first to accept her.
Balancing such relationships in real life is challenging. Salim married Salma in 1964, and they had three sons and two daughters. Later, he married Helen in 1981.
In an old interview, Salim Khan recalled how he told Salma and his kids about marrying Helen before they heard it from anyone else. They maintain a close-knit relationship, often seen spending time together. Last year, Arbaaz Khan got married for the second time at Arpita Khan’s residence.
