Saudi King to receive major medical treatment.

After undergoing medical tests, the Saudi Arabian state news agency announced on Sunday that King Salman will receive treatment for a lung infection at Al Salam Palace in Jeddah.

The 88-year-old monarch will take antibiotics until the infection improves, according to the royal court.

Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi said Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had postponed a visit to Japan scheduled to start on Monday due to King Salman’s health. The announcement was made during a press conference in Tokyo.

King Salman had medical tests earlier on Sunday at Al Salam Palace due to a high temperature and joint pain, as reported by the Saudi state news agency. He was last admitted to the hospital in April for a routine examination.
