Schools in Punjab are closing early for summer break because of the very hot weather.
This is the third time they’ve changed the start date. Originally, schools weren’t going to close for summer until June 1st. Then, they decided to close them on May 22nd after many parents asked for it.
Now, they’re moving the start date up again to May 25th because the heat is getting even worse.

The government decided to close schools early to keep students safe. They don’t want kids to be outside in the dangerous heat.
Schools that are still giving exams this week are allowed to stay open for those exams only, but all other schools will be closed.
