SFJ blocked Indian consulate in San Francisco with a float about Indira Gandhi’s assassination.

SFJ, a pro-Khalistan Sikh group, blocked the Indian Consulate in San Francisco and staged a rally commemorating the 35th anniversary of the martyrdom of Satwant Singh and Kehar Singh.

The Khalistan Freedom Car Rally, organized by SFJ, had over 1,000 vehicles and traveled from Berkeley Marina to the Indian Consulate in San Francisco. This event, ahead of the Khalistan Referendum voting on January 28, aimed to remind India’s Prime Minister Modi about the consequences of violence.

SFJ’s General Counsel, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, emphasized that Sikhs historically respond to violence unleashed by the Indian state. The Khalistan Referendum, supervised by the Punjab Referendum Commission, has seen voting in various global cities.

Meanwhile, a team from India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) is in the U.S., discussing cases such as the attack on the Indian Consulate and the extradition of Tahawwur Rana with FBI officials.

The FBI Director recently visited India for discussions with NIA officials, covering issues related to terrorism, organized crime, and investigations into various cases. The FBI assured aggressive pursuit of the investigation into the San Francisco Consulate attack during the meetings.
