As per the recent notice, the regular working hours for government offices in Balochistan will be from 9 AM to 3 PM, allowing employees to finish their work by early afternoon.
On Fridays, the office hours will be shorter, ending at 1 PM.
For offices operating six days a week, the adjusted timings during Ramadan will be from 9 AM to 2 PM on regular days. However, on Fridays, these offices will close even earlier, at noon. This change is made to accommodate religious practices and observances during the sacred month of Ramadan.
As Muslims worldwide prepare for Ramadan’s festivities and prayers, Pakistanis are likely to observe the first day of the holy month on Wednesday, March 13. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet on March 11 to determine the start date of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak. The meeting will be led by Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, along with other scholars and members from the Religious Affairs Ministry. Technical assistance will be provided by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
According to meteorologists, there are low chances of sighting the moon on March 11 in Pakistan, and the first day of Ramadan is expected to be on March 13.
Meanwhile, Muslims in various Islamic countries, especially the Gulf countries, are likely to observe the first day of Ramadan on March 12.
