PM Shehbaz Sharif wants to work with Britain to make schools better.

Prime Minister Sharif met with representatives from top British universities.

He stressed that providing a good education for all children is his government’s most important goal. He thanked Britain for its help with Pakistan’s education system and said he hopes the two countries can work together more on education and trade. The Prime Minister also welcomed a new program that allows students from both countries to get degrees in each other’s universities. He said that Pakistan and Britain have been friends for a long time and that he wants their universities to collaborate more on research and technology.

In another meeting, the Australian ambassador to Pakistan praised the bravery of Pakistani security guards who tried to stop a man who stabbed six people to death in a Sydney mall earlier this month. One security guard died and another was injured. The Prime Minister invited Australian companies to train Pakistani companies and thanked the Pakistani people who live in Australia for their contributions to that country.

The Prime Minister also met with a group of leaders from a Chinese government agency that helps developing countries. He thanked the agency for its important role in helping Pakistan’s economy grow and for its help after the floods in 2022.
