The Pakistan Army’s nighttime march in Lahore has caught attention.

In Lahore, the capital of Punjab province, there was an unusual sight on Monday night as armed forces personnel were seen moving through the streets.

This caught the attention of the public and sparked various reactions.

Videos circulating online show a group of armed forces personnel marching along a busy road, causing traffic to come to a stop. The sight of this rare military movement in the city led to different responses on social media. Some people linked it to recent events on May 9, while others mentioned ongoing protests in Azad Kashmir.

However, the truth behind this military activity is that Lahore is home to several military installations, and troops often engage in training exercises in the city. There has been misinformation spread by members of a political party regarding these routine drills.

On Monday night, troops from the IV Corps (based in Lahore) were conducting nighttime urban combat training exercises, which involved simulated operations against a hypothetical opponent. During this exercise, some soldiers were briefly visible on public roads connecting to Lahore Cantonment, where military facilities are located.
