The Pakistan cricket team is bringing Christmas cheer to Australian players by giving them gifts.

At the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) ahead of their Boxing Day (December 26) Test match, the Pakistan cricket team kindly surprised their Australian counterparts with Christmas gifts in a heartwarming gesture.

“It was really fantastic. All the kids needed was lollipops and Merry Christmas gifts. That was quite wonderful. With Pakistan, we have a good working relationship. That was also an extremely special tour from a few years ago. That their group would think of us is really kind and considerate, captain Pat Cummins told ESPN Australia.

Currently, for a Test series, the men in green are touring Australia. As they attempt to win the series against Pakistan, who dropped veteran wicketkeeper-batter Sarfaraz Ahmed, Australia selected an unchanged starting lineup for the Boxing Day Test at the MCG.

The men in green gave gift baskets to the Australian team and their families, as captured on camera, as captured by Australian sports journalist Daniel Cherny. Presents were being given out by Pakistani Test captain Shaan Masood and the team’s employees. Behind them, the children of the squad cheerfully accepted brightly colored Christmas candy from Australian captain Pat Cummins, who was seen carrying a gift basket.

At the first Test in Perth, the hosts destroyed Masood’s team by 360 runs in four days, with pace guns Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, and Cummins all escaping unharmed.

Fast bowler Khurram Shahzad and their two best spinners, Abrar Ahmed and Noman Ali, were both ruled out of the Melbourne match due to injuries, which has severely impacted Pakistan since Perth.

Holiday cheer was also seen being spread by Babar Azam and a few other players.
