The Pakistan Super League (PSL) unveiled the trophy for season 9 in Lahore, and all the team captains were present at the Race Course Park for the ceremony on Tuesday.
They named the trophy “The Orion Trophy,” and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) mentioned in a press release that it would serve as motivation for all the teams in the tournament.
According to the PCB, Orion is a constellation associated with various mythologies and cultures. It’s known for three bright stars forming Orion’s Belt, visible from both hemispheres, making it a well-known star pattern in the night sky.

The trophy is made from pure silver and coated in white gold, giving it an elegant and prestigious look. Each detail is plated with white gold, symbolizing the excellence of the Pakistan Super League. The PCB highlighted that it took more than 900 hours of continuous work and the placement of 18,000 stones to create this impressive trophy.
PSL 9 is scheduled to be held in four cities – Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi. The tournament’s final will take place at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on March 18. Get ready for an exciting cricket season!
