A respected leader in the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Mohammed, died on May 1st at 82.
He used to be in charge of the Eastern Region of Abu Dhabi.
The news made the UAE’s top leaders sad. The President even declared a week of mourning. Other leaders, like the Vice President of Dubai, also expressed their sorrow and spoke about Sheikh Tahnoon’s important work for the country.
Sheikh Tahnoon was a close friend of the UAE’s founder and played a big role in building the nation. He held important jobs throughout his life, including leadership positions in Abu Dhabi’s government and oil industry.
The UAE lost a significant figure with Sheikh Tahnoon’s passing. His leadership will be remembered.
