Utah’s women’s basketball team had to move hotels because of racist behavior.

The Utah women’s basketball team had an awful experience at their hotel in Idaho during the NCAA tournament.

Their coach said some people were racist towards the team, and things got so bad they had to switch hotels to feel safe. That’s messed up!

Thankfully, the people running the tournament and the college hosting the games (Gonzaga) helped them out and got them a new place to stay. They also said that racist stuff is unacceptable, which is good to hear.

The governor of Idaho even chimed in and said this kind of behavior doesn’t represent the state. It’s a bummer this happened, but it’s good to see people speaking out against racism and looking after the players.
